well i had this question. i was wondering if it would be a bad idea to put a little baby powder on the dust? idk random question

I know that baby powder is bad for humans to inhale...I'm not sure how safe it would be for a chinchilla.

Their lungs are like a million times smaller than ours, so if it's bad for US to inhale, it would be VERY bad for them to inhale. Think Canary in a coal mine.

This is slightly off topic ... I imagine the only reason to do this is bc you want your chin to smell like baby powder?? I've never used th bc I assumed they'd be bad, but there are fragranced dusts out there. I'm not suggesting it bc personally I only use blue cloud, but would this be an option or is it a no no? Just curious.

Chinchillas should not be dusted in anything that is scented. They have sensitive respiratory systems. Scented dusts can cause serious problems.
