Do you feel safe in America?

I also agree with this. On a side note, I want to stress that I do not take being born in the US for granted. I feel very blessed to lead a safe and comfortable life filled with opportunity, but I would be just as blessed if I had been born in Sweden, Australia, Canada, etc.

Do you feel safe in America?

I have always felt safe in America and I have lived in 4 different states, all in suburban areas. The reason why I am interested in possibly moving elsewhere is because I feel changes need to made in the US, and with two very stubborn opposing sides, it seems that no one will let the other...

    Zero Tolerance Policy

ticklechin, your comments do seem a bit aggressive and unnecessary. Zero tolerance policy aside-- LovingChi, I am concerned about the way things are heading here, too. Last week I actually started looking into the immigration process for Canada... unfortunately it looks harder than I first...

    College

I have a BS in Animal Science. I graduated last January, but decided on a career change and am currently in a 1 year clinical program for Medical Lab Science. In 2 and a half weeks, I will be halfway done with that! I can't wait to get a real job and be done with school... at least for a while.

    Christmas away from home

I am spending the holidays away from family as well. Granted, they are only 240 miles away... but because of work I won't be able to make it home. I think it is so cool that you moved from Australia to Sweden. My boyfriend and I have thought of moving to Sweden or thereabouts because of the...

    PetSmart Pets Hotel

Also, I have found a couple other options for boarding in my area that I will be looking into over the next couple of weeks. Thank you guys for your input!

    PetSmart Pets Hotel

The bird lives with my parents and always has (he's 10 and was mine when I was young, so I still consider him mine even though he doesn't live with me). The hedgehog lives with them too since we had to temporarily relocate to Lancaster, Pa for a year.

    PetSmart Pets Hotel

I see. Yea, that sounds like a good option.

    PetSmart Pets Hotel

As in staying in our home? We have only had her for a couple months (though she is 2.5 y/o) and we still haven't gotten to a point where we trust her home alone outside of her crate. So I'm not sure someone coming to our home a few times a day would cut it; I don't want her to be in her tiny...

    PetSmart Pets Hotel

Has anyone used the boarding services at petsmart for their cat or dog? My boyfriend and I will be flying to Georgia for Christmas from December 23-26 and need a place for our dog, Emmy, to stay. We are new to the area and don't know anyone well enough to ask them to watch her. Just wondering...

    fears.

I used to have an extreme phobia of needles. I have slowly gotten over this to the point where now I don't cry, or beg and plead them not to do it. I still dread having blood drawn and getting shots, but I am able to just suck it up, not look, and get it over with. The main way I have become...

Any tips on a dog bothering a cat?

I don't know about yours, but my dog learns very quickly not to do things when I squirt her with a spray bottle. We taught her not to bark at people outside our door or window this way. I would try squirting her when you catch her in the act of bothering the cat. It's not too much of a...

    I second the Elias suggestion.

    Single Level Ferret Nation?

I use a single level and the ability to tuck the liners is pretty much my favorite thing about the Ferret Nation. Ossian used to ALWAYS get under his liners... not anymore!

    My sweet little rats :)

Oh man, I was really hoping that females wouldn't do that!

    My sweet little rats :)

How do you like having girls? I had two male rats a couple years ago-- I LOVED their personalities and would love to get more but the memories of their constant pee trails are still too fresh for me to cave in to the temptation. I've always heard that girls are constantly on the go as opposed...

    Ebba

I've been following Ebba's story, but haven't posted until now. I am so glad she's doing so well, I can't believe how great she looks in these pictures! She's one special little hedgie :)

    Got a scholarship!

Cool, my brother was pre-med as well, though he majored in bioengineering. Now he is in his fourth year of med school at Upstate and is interviewing for residencies for next year. I don't know about Rochester, but BU was really great for pre-med. They have a student run ambulance (one of the...

    Got a scholarship!

Congrats! That is a really impressive scholarship! What are you wanting to major in? Wow, you're really close to where I'm from. I went to Vestal High School, but now I go to University of Delaware. My brother went to BU though and really loved it. I also know some people at Rochester who...
