I just wash mine before I use them. I bought my chinchillas some apple wood sticks and all there toys are washed before use. Don't wash them to much though or most of the colors will be removed!!!

Plus walking a chinchilla on asphalt is unheard of...I'm pretty sure you would get some eyes from people walking there dog

My chinchilla bandit used to come to the door for me to pick him up. Now he runs to the door to jump out of the cage or get caught by me! Aside that my other chinchilla bebe walked out of her bathhouse turned right kept walking and fell casually as if nothing happened...

There's nothing waxy the wood is white with maybe a slight yellow tint so I guess I'm good!

I went to homedepot and asked for kiln dried pine. He hands me wood that says "Prime pine" and says that is the same thing...Any help here or am I in good hands?

I use fleece liners and I went to staples to get binder clips and clip them to the pan. They pulled the fleece over and they nibbled on the pan a little. I wouldn't sweat the small stuff

I know this thread is kind of old but I have a ferret mansion which I thurougly enjoy and much prefer over the FN There's tons of different cages out there but I guess I just liked to let that be known.

I did kinda the opposite. I switched from aspen wood bedding to fleece liners. Hand towels? Maybe. I guess just a preference on what you'd prefer.

I had a bamboo plant that died then I decided to put the hay in the ceramic pot (they knock the pot over but holds the hay together nicley)

I have fleece then a towel between that with flecee on the bottom. Also you can put old newspaper on the bottom if you prefer! Mine love em!
