This is really strange. I just took in a pink white rescue that was dropped of at a pet store. She was doing the same thing....... Constantly.

I think the article was refering to rattle snakes of all things. Seems a little far fetched to me but it is always interesting to read about the early days of the chinchilla breeding industry.
I think the fn and cn cages are quiet by nature compared to a martins cage or the like. No rings to jingle. I have a fn142 with the metal pans from bass and I have no problems with noise. But the chins fling the shaveings all over.

I got a new group of chinchillas that you can't seperate with a crowbar. They are just too stinking cute. I had too make bigger shelves so they could all fit together.
