I looked online and after a long google search I found that all types of magnolia is safe! I cut some twigs, boiled them, and baked them for an hour. When they cooled, I gave them to my official taste-tester, Eva! They were a hit! I will definitely be making more and maybe selling some in the future. Is gives off a beautiful scent while baking too.
