We had a standard chin that delivered a litter of three healthy kits. Mom's milk appeared to be very slow coming in. The kits were maintaining their weight, but not gaining. When they were three weeks old, the mom became very aggressive toward her kits. She was chasing them around the cage so we separated them and began giving them goat's milk. Since then, the kits have done well and all are good weight and eating well (they are 10 weeks old now). Another breeder was visiting and noticed her teeth were pearly white. Generally this is indicative of a calcium deficiency, but we had given her cuddle bones throughout pregnancy and nursing. Since then we have been giving her Tums to give her more calcium. Her teeth are now yellow, but not that deep orange I would like to see. Has anyone else experienced this? Could this lack of calcium have been the cause of her lack of milk? Any suggestions for increasing her calcium level?

Yes, her white teeth are from lack of calcium.
Make sure you are giving her the fruit flavored tums, they will eat those better than regular ones as well as the fruit ones are suppouse to have more calcium.
