What litter do you use for your rats?

I've been using Fresh Nest corncob litter for my guys, but with the cage I have now, they throw it out everywhere. What litters do you use? I know any kind of Wood litter is bad (Pine, Cedar, ect). When I get my Critter Nation I'm going to do fleece, but until then, I need something that isnt going to make such a mess! :neener:

I use aspen currently. What kind of cage do you have now? We have a Martin's and with the deep pan hardly any comes out. I buy the huge bags at Tractor supply for 10 bucks and it has bigger flakes. That bag lasts forever.

What they currently have is a modified Chin breeder cage (not a run). 2 hole that has wooden shelves, and 1 1/2" deep pans. Not half as big as I want but it works until I can get a bigger one.
