What chinchillas would I want to breed together to get Black Velvet (TOV) for offspring?

Most people breed standard to black velvet to try for black velvet offspring. You can get it through other pairings as well, but the TOV has to be there to get TOV.

The questions should be why are you breeding if you don't know the possible color outcomes? Sounds to me like you need to do some more research. I pair my chins based on their qualities, not by the color they produce.

I breed blacks to standards. I was going to breed black to black but was told that the off springs will be lighter in color. Then these off springs you breed to standards they should produce some awesome black babies.
