what about those run-around balls?

y'know, those balls that you can get for hamsters, only bigger. are they a good idea for a chinchilla, or no?

No I used to think they were safe too until I jpined this site and believe me dont do it, dont risk it

The chins don't even like it anyway, I used one way back before I knew better and my animal was terrified every time it bumped something and got poop all over herself. If you want more oversize for them and they cant run around your house try a flying saucer wheel (chin safe one) or a bigger cage. ^.^

Unfortunately, pet stores make it seem like they are a necessary item for a chin, but they are completely wrong to sell these for chins. People assume pet stores are knowledgeable about the pets they sell, and have their best interest at heart, and again, this isn't always the case. We call them death balls and they certainly aren't to be used.
