Weight gain???

I was just wondering how much does a pregnant chin gain during pregnancy. (total???) does anyone know???

That really depends on each individual chinchillas, and each individual pregnancy for example Bella's last litter was twins this time she had quads so she would have gained two very different amounts. there really is no magic numbers here

Some chins gain next to nothing and have triplets. Others gain a lot and have one single kit. Most are somewhere in between.

my female weighed the same from first pregnancy to her 2nd, her first one gave me 2 kits at average size. the 2nd pregnancy gave me one kit and he was 70g!

it all varies, i weigh all my chins about every 2 months so i can keep an avg. weight on them so i know if they have gained a lot and are preg or if they stayed the same or even lost weight .
