I just wanted some opinions/advice...I have a male chinchilla who is going on 13 years old. He is still pretty active (esp. given his age..) still runs on his saucer, bounces off walls, and runs around. I have noticed over the past year his fur has been becoming a bit thinner (if I blow on his head or back I can start to see some skin). I just went to "de-shed" his fleece bed (a nice big bed and pillow from QMC) and the amount of fur I pulled off it - looks as if i just brushed my cat. Is it normal for older chins to start thinning out like so?? :-/
