What is with the goofy sideways chinchilla hop my chin has just started doing?

It is called pop corning. They do it when they are very happy. I love it when one of mine does it.

It's not popcorning. They are little hops. Almost like she is trying to divert my attention before she does something she is not supposed to.

whenever yuki gets told NO! he wipes at his whiskers in a sort of "aw shucks she caught me" or an "i wasn't doing anything" motion. SO she probably is trying to distract you. Silly chins.

its an escape trick . they do that to get away from prey animals . also mimic jumping off thing. mine use to run and lump and bounce off the walls .
