Storing food

I was curious if its ok if you store chin food in a non air tight container? Will it get stale or expire faster? or does it have to be sealed in a air tight container only?

I used to keep the chins food in a container and it did seem to keep fresh, now i have storage draws and clip the bag before i put them away.

i prefer to keep mine in a larger container on wheels. when i only had a chin or two i would just keep it in the bag. i would think if kept in a dry cool place the flavor would be maintained best in a sealed container.

An airtight container also has the advantage of keep insects out of the feed.
