Softer poo's

Since Izzy got out last week, his poo pellets seem to be softer. Before they were solid, none squished....now when he steps on some of them, they squish. Is this normal?

In general it's a bad sign... when that happens, I only give my chins hay for 24 hours and it always improves.

Could he have gotten into any thing? It sounds like some thing upset his tummy.
You can Cut out any thing extra in his diet like treats until it improves.

Pull his pellets and give only hay for the next 24 hours. No treats.

Is there an odor or are they a different color than normal?

No odor and no color difference. He seems to be normal except for the squishy poo's. Probably just stress.

if it doesn't clear up I would definitely get a fecal swab done to rule out parasites. Do you give 3-stage filtered water?

One of my chins gets soft poo for a day or so if he gets scared or startled )
