Sewing Machine Help

Hi all, I've recently tried teaching myself how to work a sewing machine. I think I'm doing ok, but was needing help when it comes to sewing thicker materials, for example a few layers of fleece. My instruction manual wasn't very helpful and was wondering if anyone had any tips.

Make sure you have a good needle and then play around with the tension and stitch length. The quality of your feed walkers (the little rivets that scoot the fabric through) also makes a difference in how evenly the fabric is pulled along. Fixing the above will help I think.
