Soo I know this may sound a little strange but me and my man were just sitting here discussing a healthy diet for our boy Bruce when the idea of seaweed came up. I was just curious if anyone knew if it was chin safe? I know its natural and considered healthy for humans. I was thinking growing in sea water would make it too salty... We have never given any to him obviously but it was just an idea. Thoughts? :)

I would think the sodium content would be too high for a chin. Not to sure I would want to be around my girls when they are bloated from too much salt. :p

I have not personally used it, but I have heard of other breeders that use it.

I know it is not recommended for rabbits. If it were me, I would stick with the known safe herbs / grains to supplement your animals if determined necessary.

How often would a chin run into something like seaweed in the wild? While it probably wouldn't hurt them it probably isn't necessarily beneficial for them either.
