San Diego Area? Save this chin!

I found this posting on Craigslist. Poor little girl is in a glass aquarium with a hot florescent for lighting, an open bowl for water....and these are just observations in one photo. If you have the means, save her.

Oh my, that's awful I hope it was deleted because the chin went to a good home, and not because of negative feedback. If it was because of that, I hope they get that chin into a proper cage. Poor thing!

probably not. I know the person on FB that contacted them about it. Right after was when the post was deleted. This is what they said:

I hoped the light was up just for the pictures. I'm sure the chin would be much happier in a cage with levels, but my main gripe would be with water being provided in a bowl and the chance of her getting wet and sick. At a $200 I don't see a re-home happening anytime soon. I hope Felicia can realize no one is trying to target her and accept advice to keep her chinchilla happy and healthy.

That's awful. Chinchilla's should not be in an aquarium; there is no place to attach a water bottle that they need. And...a Chinchilla does not need a heat lamp or direct light like that.
