Safe Petstore Toy?

Hi, I just came back from the petstore and I bought a lot of chew toys for my chinchilla. All the toys I bought were safe, but I'm not so sure about this one. Can someone let me know?

it mentions nothing of what its actually made of, so i would say not safe. In fact, many items from petstores like petsmart and petco that are advertised towards chins are in fact not safe. You are usually better off getting them online from chin vendors. Often times cheaper too.

That toy is pine and loofah, it's technically safe, but the loofah is glued on, it's non toxic glue, but still, glue. Another thing is the dye used on those tends to come off when wet (like when it gets chewed, water bottle drips on it, or it's peed on), so don't be surprised if your chin changes color. Also it's put together with a wooden dowel, so it will fall apart very quickly once the chin starts chewing on it.
I agree that you are better off getting toys from the online vendors here, you get more for your money and the toys are tried and tested by the vendor's own chins in most cases, so you know it's safe and chins like it. Most also sell toy parts so you can make your own to suit your chin's personal taste.
