Hello, I'm finally re modeling my baby's cage and I'm making new shelves out of wood. I want to add like a border 1-2 inches high around it to hopefully stop the poop falling on the floor, but I love being able to see him. I was thinking about making the two sides and front of each shelf with wood and then doing the front with plexi-glass so he can still see. Of course there's always the worry he'll chew it so I was wondering if anyone knows of this is safe. Again, it will not be even close to go walls, just am inch or two. Thank you.

sadly chewable plastic in reach = bad. If the chin can get to an edge and is unsupervised you can bet it will be chewed.
