Okay, so I've heard from someone else that they have a cat climbing tower for their chinchilla. Does the chinchilla really use it? Is it safe? Most that I've seen are made out of carpet and fluffy parts. I don't know if Sigma would try to chew at the part that's the scratching post part of the thing. :/

Any opinions on this? We want to give him a large climbing area for him. He does jump pretty high. But I see a lot of these cat posts and wonder how he's going to be able to get up onto that.

Your chin could injest carpet and fluffy parts of the tower. This could cause digestion problems and possible death. If the tower is really tall the chin could injure himself jumping from it. I would not suggest getting one for your chin. You could stack cardboard boxes to create a climbing area.
