Quality Cage Metal Shelves?

Does anyone use them? I am about to replace my shelves as I have already sanded them down several times...I saw these and thought they might be nice since my ladies tend to be shelf pee-ers. Are they safe?

I don't know about safety but I have a Quality Cage (with wood shelves) and the bottom tray is powder coated like that and the coating is peeling (as is the Chinspin from the same company). Just something to think about.

You know what, I just looked at my chin spin and noticed that. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll probably stick with wood

Yep - I was scraping off huge sections of the powder coating after only about a month - made me mad!

I have 7 cages from Quality Cage Company and a chin spin. None of mine are peeling and I have had them for at least 3 years (some longer).

Mine only has minor, minor peeling but if they pee on the galvanized metal it might peel more...I just liked the idea of easy to clean shelves!
