Portable A/C to keep Chin cool?

So I've been doing research on how to keep chins cool during the summer months. I live in an apartment, and yes I have AC but it's usually 68-75 degrees. Sometimes a little higher upstairs. But during the hot months, I'll keep my chin downstairs where it's cooler. I've already got two ChinChillers and was wondering if there was more ways? I've ready jars with ice in them covered by a sock also helps.
I was thinking about a portable floor AC? I've honestly never had one, and was wondering if anyone else thought this was a good or plain stupid idea! :facepalm:

They can be helpful, but you have to make sure to get one with enough BTUs strong enough for that particular room. Be ready for them to be $300+ too; they're not cheap.

I use two for my house and love them. Just make sure you clean the filter regularly.
