Pinned back ears

My chin has become a lot more confortable with with us now he come up to the door of the cage and sits in our hands
Ive noticed that when he comes out or tries to then decides against it he pins both his ears back,then brings them up and does it again it only lasts for a few seconds
Could it be that he is unsure or scared of something? Or something different altogether?

He's unsure or scared. It's normal behavior.
