Pinecones

This may have been addressed, but are Pinecombs safe for chins? Looking for some ways to save money and give my guys new treats. Just wondering?
Obviously they would come from my yard from an untreated tree.

Yes, they are fine as long as they're prepared properly BEFORE giving them to your chin...as scrubing & baking. My guys actually love pine cones!!

So scrub off any sap, do i boil them? what temp to bake? for how long?

Scrub them very good with hot water. I bake them for about a few hours on 300. Until they are dry. Leaving them out to bake in the sun for awhile is not bad either. You just need to make sure to open the oven and make sure you don't start any fires! Some of my chins like them, others not, but it is fun to try!
