Pee on fur

I've had my chin for about 4 months now. I finally got up enough courage to do a hair ring check. Everything was fine and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. Anyway, while doing the check I noticed his fur (down there) was stained with pee. Is this normal? Should I wash his fur?

you can wash his fur where the pee is with luke warm water and a washcloth and then put him in his dustbath. Thats what I was told to do by my vet

You could also use unscented baby wipes to clean him, followed by a dust bath.
