Oxbow mill date?

My chins are on oxbow pellets. I need to buy more but usually i buy from people on the forum and it's shipped it just zip lock bags. This time i am just going to buy from the store. My question is does oxbow have a milled date on the bag or just a for sale by date? If it does have a mill date how do you read it?

I've never seen a mill date on a bag of Oxbow. It's always been the sale by date.

Yes, expiration dates only on Oxbow bags.

The 5 and 10lb bags have a date that is 2 years from milling. The 50 lb bags are good for 1 year from milling and 6 months after opening.

Nutrional loss after these dates is not a lot, but obviously, (in my opinion) fresher is better.

I have pictures from a shipment I received from Oxbow at the end of May.
There is a "Best Buy Date" of March 24, 2010, but there was no mill
date on the bag.

ETA: This was the first 50 pound bag I received

I would guess that the best by date is a year after milling. If my understanding is right, the pellets should be used by then. I will double check that.

I just called. The pellets should be used up by that 'best by' date.
