I have a cold sore so my sister is kindly watching my little darling until it's gone. Her room happens to have oak furniture, and when my chin is let out to run around, my sis keeps hawk eyes on her, but she is very fast and will nibble the furniture before she can be stopped.

I just wanted to learn more about toxic woods. Do they have to ingest it to be toxic? How much nibbling until it's toxic? Surely other chin owners run into this problem with their chin and wood furniture - of course no furniture that is painted or treated is okay for them, but if they nibble it before they can be shooed away, is it very bad for their health?
