Now, Chinchilla Beds ....

Sorry guys, I'm literally gonna have a million questions!

The next topic I need an opinion on is chinchilla beds! There are the full nesting boxes, and then I've seen the custom made beds that are open on top. Which do chinchillas prefer? To feel boxed in and cozy while sleeping, or to lay in something with an open top?

Chins like both and will rotate, I have both, enclosed boxes and open beds. Why not, they are your kids!

I have a couple closed in "hidey houses". Sometimes they sleep in them. Most of the time they sleep on top of them. So, both is best )

Dawn is right, it will depend on the mood that particular chin is in at the moment. Sometimes they want to feel all cozy and safe, and will go for an enclosed box. Other times they just want to chill out and lay somewhere comfy where they can spread out and feel the breeze.

Options are best.
