Not eating and bloody poop

My chinchilla Dexter is about 3 and two days ago I noticed he wasn't eating very much hay and then last night he started having diarrhea. I took his pellets last night to try to get him to eat the hay and it seems he ate about half of what he normally does overnight but his poops appear to have blood in them this morning. I'm trying to get to a vet very soon but has anyone ever had an experience like this?

Bloody diarrhea is serious and he needs a emergency visit ASAP, it could be a symptom of stasis and he could be dead very soon.

I forgot to mention that today the poops aren't diarrhea and are small and hard, we have a emergency vet visit scheduled tonight
