I don't have many babies born here as I have chosen to keep my numbers low due to space. Last fall while away visiting my parents, this beauty was born. Sadly her litter mate was stillborn.
My husband weighed her daily and told me she was huge. He called her Sumo due to her size. Thus the name kind of stuck.
My husband did a great job taking care of them for the week by himself. He doesn't have a clue what to do for chinchillas other than feed and water them.

I'm going to show little Miss Sumo at the Nationals this month. Looking forward to seeing how well I did matching her parents qualities for breeding. Sumo is my first BV kit.
