I see this all the time. Dessy will be sitting on a chiller or a ledge gnawing away on a twig/cookie/wood toy, and then she freezes. She doesn't move at all for a moment, and then I hear the clink of her shew dropping out of her paw. It's like she forgets what she's doing, and usually she snuffles after it moments later.

Do all chins do this or is mine a ditz?

Hahah yeah, my Rosey usually sits on the top shelf, drops something and then can't figure out where it's gone!!

mine do that some times. I think the girls more then my boys. For me tho, its more interesting with 5 chins. When one freezes and drops there twig, the sound of it hitting the tray send the others in a complete panic and they all charge to there huts. Then the sound of that freaks out the original chin, and she panics... its a cycle thats not complete till they are all thoroughly scared'
