Nipping/Biting?

Well Chilli started out nibbling my finger and I never pulled away because I figured she'd get bored and stop. Well now she's biting harder, she broke skin the last time she did it. It's not like an aggressive bite, she'll be sitting in my lap grooming my hand then bite. Is there anything I can do to get her to stop? I don't think she bit hard on purpose, but she's done it a few times now(not breaking skin, just biting hard).

Do you do anything when she does it? When mine bites harder than just a nibble, I yelp (whether or not it actually hurts)- I think he understands that it means "ow!" because he always stops. My husband has walked in on my squeaking loudly at him for nibbling, I had to explain to him that I was attempting to speak his language just another reason for him to think I'm crazy but I swear it works!

lol! Well the last time when she broke skin I yelled no, but that's it.

I've heard that "Kacking" at them when they bite will get them to stop.
