Sleepy chinchilla
Ok, so I joined yesterday when someone linked me here. [: So, hey. haha Already met a couple really nice people. ^_^
So, I got my new chin on Weds! haha It was a surprise, too. I asked for a chin for Christmas, since every time I expressed fondness towards them to my parents in pet stores, they didn't even think they were cute. I think they changed their minds, though. My mom loves how soft he is. lol And wait til she sees him when he takes a dust bath. XD I don't think you've lived until you've experienced something like that. [:
Well they totally tricked me. I thought my mom wanted me to put the guinea pig I got her for Christmas away. I open the cage and there's a chinchilla in there. XD [if you're confused right now...we have 9 guinea pigs and 2 guinea pig cages. The new one was in one of the small cages until we moved her in with our other pigs. My chin is temporarily in one of the guinea pig cages until we build one for him in less than a month.]
So ya. [: I have a poll up and I'll edit this post/post it under neath with the link to the poll so you can help me name him. [and I would really appreciate the help with naming him o:] Pictures are attached so you can look at those and see him.
Also, I know there is a lot of plastic in the cage. My parents didn't know when buying supplies for him plastic was bad. We already have the plastic hut in the guinea pig "mansion" and a new wooden hut. We replaced the plastic food bowl with a stainless steel one, so he can't chew it up. Also, same thing with food. He has plenty of hay to eat and we got solid pellets without the little treats in them. And once again-the cage is only temporary. He has other stuff to chew on as well, and I'm keeping an eye on him to make sure he doesn't chew on the plastic. These pictures were taken when we literally first got him. I'll make sure to post pictures when we build him a new home. [:
