i started Jonesy on Tanya's (Fuzzies Kingdom) broad spectrum supplement on her advice at the same time i switched her to the organic hay. Jones thinks "supplement" means "treat"--she gets all excited about her 1/3 tsp. every night.
and the hay has been well worth it, too--she has almost doubled her hay-eating.

and yeah, you gotta talk to her. and just lay your hand inside her cage for her to check out, and before you know it she'll be climbing you. Jones only took about four days before she started climbing and grooming.
of course, some days she wants NOTHING to do with me and only wants my husband's attention; sometimes vice versa. (we just say to the other, oh, the chinchilla's yours this week and shrug it off. everybody has moods.)

there are several good, chin-safe wheels...

both the 15" chin spin and flying saucer are available from quality cages here...

the silver surfer is available here (little less expensive, run path not as wide, but very decent wheel)...

and chincessories has a homemade version, that I understand is okay but considerably noisier than above options... but a good bit less expensive, too...

I have both silver surfer wheels and a chin spin - overall, I think I prefer the ChinSpin, but the surfers are decent too

hope that helps
