Hi guys,

I just bought a new cage (2 level, Prevue Hendryx - model 485) and wondering what do you all use:

1. The wire bottom shelves with the use of the pull out tray or
2. Did you cover everything with fleece and don't use the pull out tray?

I know the wire is not good for chinnie's feet.

Thank you for your ideas and help

Is there a way to take the wire bottom out? Otherwise, covering it in fleece isn't a bad idea. You could even tile it.

Thank you, Javachin :)
I have already put a big tile on each floor and the rest is covered with fleece.

You could always take the middle part out (depending on the age of your chins) and just let them have top to bottom with bridges and ledges and hammocks and such.

I covered the floors with 1/4 inch wire mesh so it won't catch their feet and added a bunch of wooden shelves. Wire doesn't hurt their feet as long at they have a place to get off of it if they choose.
