Needing Help With Chinchilla Playtime

To whom ever is reading, i was wondering if it is ok to buy a dog playpen that is 48-inches tall to put my chinchilla in to run around when i'm not watching. Before i buy this i was wondering if the bar spacing was to big and my chinchilla would be able to get through. Link to the playpen is below.

Chins can get stuck in the spacing of the midwest.

Chins should never be left out of the cage unattended, if they are out you need to be watching them. Also chins can jump 5 feet, so a 4 foot pen isn't high enough to prevent jumping over, it's an ok height if you watch them and they don't get it in their head they can jump. Even with the cloth dog pen with a lid that ticklechin linked, you need to watch them to make sure they don't chew the cloth and/or chew a hole and escape.

Why not build one out of recycled safe cardboard ? that way its cheap, if they gnaw through it, it's replaceable and you can make it as big as you like and as inventive as you like!

I made mine out of cardboard. I went to costco and grabbed the biggest pieces I could find and used those. I taped them together and then I clip them together with those big black paper clip kind of things and when he's done, i fold it back up and stick it under my bed =)
