Miracle Grow?

My grandfather just gave me his rose clippings for the boys. I know he mulches and puts Miracle Grow on them. This means they can't be used, right? I just want to double check before throwing them out.
 
I wouldnt use them if they had miracle grow on them...thats a fertilizer, and toxic.

I wouldn't use them either. Miracle Grow is soaked up by all parts of the plant so the fertilizer will be present in all parts.
 
People use it in their vegetable gardens all the time. It contains micro nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, etc) that occur naturally in the soil anyway. I won't go as far as to say it's completely safe, but I doubt that it would be harmful, either. Further research would be necessary.
