Making a liner

I know that most of you use 3 layers of fleece for making a liner. Some use a terry cloth towel in the middle. What about flannel? Could that be used in the center?

I've always used a old towel in between two pieces of fleece. Fleece/Towel/Fleece and sew them together. If you don't have an old one that you want to use, Walmart has them for like $3-4.

I have two chins, and no litter pan. It gets changed about every 3 days or when it starts to smell.

Some people have used flannel as the middle layer. For me I feel it's almoste pointless unless you go a few layers thick with the flannel... One layers just so thin!
