i am making a bunch of shelves and other various items for churro and was wonder ing what kind of glue to use because i am not using any hardware except for what is need to secure the pieces. Any help is greatly appriciated

Elmer's wood glue works fine and it is non toxic.

Make sure you use clamps to hold pieces together while glueing. If you don't your glue bond could be weak and possible break when enjoyed by an enthusiastic chinchilla.
