Hi everyone! Let me start off by saying that if this has already been answered let me know and I can delete it, or if this is in the wrong forum I can move it too!

Ohkay, down to business:
I know that bonding with a chin takes time and effort. I've had my two males for almost 3 years and although they are not afraid of me, it definitely seems like they don't like me and want absolutely nothing to do with me. Also, they are not unfriendly for aggressive towards me, just uninterested.
-are some chins just like this?
-do not all adapt to their owners?
-or have I just not been patient enough?

Any tips or pointers would be appreciated too! Thanks :)

What do you mean by uninterested? 99% of chinchillas will pretty much ignore their human caretakers even during play time except for occasionally climbing on them like a jungle gym. One of my chinchillas is the exception to the rule and really enjoys being held, but certainly not during playtime. If they don't cower from you or get aggressive I'd say they are bonded.
