Is rustoleum safe for chins?

I was wondering if it's safe to use child-safe rustoleum on chinchilla cages. It's commonly used to finish galvanized cages for rats and it's safe for them (provided that you let the paint cure for two weeks after it's applied), and I was wondering whether anyone had used it for a chinchilla cage and whether it's safe for chins?

I had it recommended for pans in my breeding runs. Evidently a lot of breeders use it.

Cool beans, we're getting a quality cage for chinchy, and we were going to use it for rats in the future (assuming it lasts for chinchy's lifetime, which I'm hoping it will), but if it's ok for chins I think we may paint it sooner when the galvanized metal starts to get older.
