Hyper Chinchilla

So each chinchilla has their own behavior, but mine seems a bit hyperactive. I was wondering if that was only because he is 7 months old, because he is not quite comfortable with his surroundings, or because that is his own behavior/personality. He is a cutie, and I will love his furry little butt either way! I was just wondering if I should expect this behavior from him for a short or long period of time.

I've been thinking then same question, but I think it depends on the chins itself, I have 2 one yr olds, one is non stop running and playing, needs only a minute to recharge and she's off again, the other one is very mellow, and laid back like my 7yr old boys.
I can't rmb my boys being so energetic when they were younger, and I've had them since they were 4months old.

Does anyone know at what age they start to mellow down?
I love her that she a crazy hyper chin, just sometimes it's a little overboard.
