How to hold a squirmy chin to check for fur rings?

None of my chins like to be held.... one squirms and kicks a fit, and he has a small body so he wriggles easily.... another will probably bite because he is known for biting when I am doing something he doesn't like... and the other one bites me all the time but when I hold him he freezes.

I guess my question is how can I check for fur rings on a squirmy chin?

you can burrito wrap them, makes it much easier! i believe there is a tutorial or video kicking around on the forum here somewhere.

my chin loves to fight with me when i check for fur rings. i never thought about the burrito wrap idea ill have to try it out and see how it go's.

My boys always settle down when they find they can't get away. I cup them and after they settle, spread their legs/do a check with one hand while still restraining them with both hands.
