how much weight loss is okay

Hey all. Sorry, I've become such a nuisance since adopting this new little girl! She's lost 40 grams in the almost 3 weeks that I've had her, down to 463 from 503. She is eating and drinking now-- about 10-15 grams of pellets per day and some nibbles of hay, but she did go on a hunger strike for the first few days. Should I take her to the vet? Thanks for any advice you can give.

I have had a few chins that wouldn't eat for the first few days here. Once they started eating again, and their weight stabilized, they were fine. Just keep a close eye on her and if she continues to lose, in spite of eating, take her to the vet.
