You Have No Idea!
I have a chin who hasn't been eating since a surgery and Baytril. I've been handfeeding. She hasn't pooped in a week! I'm not getting near the amount of food in her that she needs, but I am trying! On Friday xrays showed gas pockets so I started gas drops and exercise time.
Yesterday I started giving some pedialyte as well. Worried that the food is starting to get hard in the tummy.
So, how much is too much!? Someone in my other thread said the fluids in her food mix should be enough and I don't want to fill her up on fluids.
I need some opinions here! I obviously want her to eat, so I dont want to give her too much fluids! But I don't want her to not have enough and the food get too hard to pass.
She will obviously be back at the vet again tomorrow! But for today, what should I do??
