Hercules is in love....or worse?

I have my two FN 142 cages next to one another. One of them houses 2 girls, one on the bottom and one on top. The cage next to it has the boys on on bottom on top. They are 10 inches apart. For the last week or so Hercules has glued himself to the bars of the cage next to Freckles cage. When I say glued I mean he is facing the cage with his belly up against it. He stares at her, sleeps like that, and only moves to eat and pee in his litter. This cannot be healthy... she obviously pays him no mind at all. Shes quite the independant woman.

Should I be concerned about this? He never wants to play or chew his toys! He is healthy and normal weight, eating, drinking etc but this is new behaviors. Is she in heat maybe?

Im just wondering whats going on

She may be in heat, try to take him out to play and get him away from her to see if he has normal activity levels.
