Hedgehog and pregnancy/newborns

How many of you have been pregnant/with newborns or small children and had hedgies? Any warnings? I've read some posts on not handling the feces or cleaning the cage but anything else? Is it a bad idea?

Many people have been pregnant and have babies while owning hedgehogs.

I personally would wear rubber gloves when cage and wheel cleaning.
