I have a T-Rex heatpad under Napoleon's cage. It is directly under where his little igloo is. Beneath the heatpad is a ceramic tile and then a towel to prevent the tile from scratching the wood.
My concern with having a heatpad on all the time is the risk of fire. Has anyone heard of or personally experienced one of these heatpads shorting out or overheating? I do not want to put my family and home at risk because of this pad.
The temp in our home is between 69 and 71 degrees during the winter.
