I am curious what you all think of this hay? Timothy hay around here just isn't looking real good.

Sunset Sweetness (Timothy/Alfalfa)- This is a great alternative to Mountain Mist. This hay is about a 80/20 mix of timothy and alfalfa. It is the second cutting of the season which means the hay will be a softer feed. The timothy will have smaller stems and leaves which will make it easier for your rabbits, chins, guineas, and other small pets to chew.

I know I've already mentioned this to you but I generally stay away from alfalfa b/c I'm using an alfalfa-based pellet already so I go with the timmy hay, orchard grass and basically other grasses that don't have alfalfa mixed in with it. I was under the impression that too much alfalfa can cause a calcium build up if the chin is not calcium deficient in the first place.
