harness stories

hello, i am wondering if any of you out there have any stories with harnesses. i am talking to someone who want ether a story or an article telling them how dangerous a harness is.

I'm a vet tech and used to work for an exotics vet. We had a chin brought in in respiratory distress. The owners kids had been walking and probably dragging the chin around with a harness. It resulted in multiple broken ribs and bruised and punctured lungs. It had air in its chest cavity because of this. The chin had to be put down.

Chinchillas have "floating ribs". Their ribs are not fully attached to their spine and if pressure is applied upwards, the ribs could puncture vital organs and kill the chinchilla.
